Can this be used with those with Special Needs

Yes.  Although we currently have no statistically proven scientific data to make a claim, we have received numerous anecdotal responses from caretakers of special needs individuals. We have heard that the game and method has been used successfully with individuals with Autism, Down’s syndrome, and individuals with mental and physical challenges. In fact, many stories reported back to us tell of not only being able to play the game and have fun but of an “opening” in the underlying process that the individual has leading to increased interpersonal relationship between the caretaker and the “special” music student.

If you have a special story about an educational experience you were involved in using the Music Wizard Academy with a special needs individual, please share your story with us at specialneeds@musicwizard.com.

The following is a thank you note from a mother of a mentally challenged child

Dear Mr. Keith of Piano Wizard,

I am writing to thank you for your generosity for replacing the broken keyboard. The new one works much better than the old one. My computer now no longer has trouble recognizing it.

My son, Jed, age 8, severely retarded with difficulties in language comprehension. It would have been impossible for him to learn to play the piano the normal way.

The piano wizard, being so intuitive a method, makes it possible for Jed to know when to push which key without having to understand spoken instructions. He's been practicing for 8 months now and has learned to play the first 30 songs. He has even learned to read a little bit of music.

Thank you for creating such a wonderful product!

Sincerely,
